  >>> - Celebration for Paolo “Tex” Tessari
by Moto Club La Fortezza
The Moto Club La Fortezza of Pistoia, association where Paolo Tessari leaves his racing licence, hold great festivities in honour of the Milanese rider last Sunday, December 6th, during the annual members celebration at the Ristorante Il Signorino on the Collina Pistoiese (Pistoias Hill), just close the starting line of the last historic editions of the hill-climb race Signorino-Collina, that counts among its winners champions like Walter Villa, Amilcare Balestrieri, Angelo Bergamonti, Roberto Gallina, Germano Paganini and Armando Toracca, winner of the last edition in 1971.
Several pictures have been screened to show the Texs sporting career and it has been just a brilliant Paolo to comment them, from his debut on the 125 Sport Production machines against future champions as Valentino Rossi, Stefano Cruciani, Roberto Locatelli, Stefano Perugini, then the move to the 125GP with his debut in World Championship and European Championship, ended as runner-up in 1997 after leading for all the season, followed by the experience in 500GP with the bike of the unforgettable Peppino Pattoni, for who Tex feels an ardent admiration, to join the Endurance World Championship with the Team X-One, with who he is riding since five years and where he became the mainstay, first on the Benelli and then on the Yamaha bikes.
For this occasion the M.C. La Fortezza fitted out a small, but rather rich, racing bikes exposition and Paolo did not lose the occasion to seat onto the saddle of the Yamaha 250 GP rode by Augusto Brettoni, another big of endurance events who was present to this party that the President Riccardo Franceschi and his precious collaborators managed with great skill and passion.
